The synopsis of Bruchophagus Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Eurytomidae) from East Anatolia of Turkey
Abstract :The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of Bruchophagus Ashmead, 1888 (Hymenoptera: Eurytomidae) species and their host plants in Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. For this aim, field studies were conducted on 42 different locations of the Iğdır part of the Aras valley that has micro climate conditions during the years 2018-2019. The obtained results reflected that, Bruchophagus roddi Gussakovskiy 1933 was obtained from seeds of Medicago sativa L., Lotus corniculatus L. and Glycyrrhiza glabra L., Bruchophagus glycyrrhizae (Nikolskaya, 1952) solely from the seeds of G. glabra and Bruchophagus mutabilis Nikolskaya, 1952 from the seeds of Alhagi maurorum Medik. In the present study, A. maurorum was detected as the first host plant record for B. mutabilis, and B. glycyrrhizae was recorded as a new record for the Turkish fauna.
