Ultrastructure of the proventriculus in adult Isophya nervosa (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae)
Abstract :The present study reveals ultrastructural details observed by light microscope, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) of the proventriculus of Isophya nervosaRamme, 1931 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae). General morphology was found more or less similar when compare with the proventriculus of other Orthopteran species analyzed. Small differences were observed to the teeth and spines founded in the structure of this organ. It is shown that the data which present with this study, will contribute to the future studies.
