The predators of longhorned beetle species of Turkey
Abstract : Studies on the predators of cerambycids so far are very limited worldwide. The paper presents known predators of longhorned beetle species of Turkey. Known predators on the base of longhorned beetle species reported from Turkey are determined by reviewing the relevant literatures given in the text. As a result, known predators are determined for only 21 of 802 species or 1036 species-group taxa of longhorned beetle of Turkey. These are 3 of 21 species belonging to Aseminae subfamily as Arhopalus ferus (Mulsant, 1839), Arhopalus rusticus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Asemum striatum (Linnaeus, 1758); 5 of 21 species belonging to Cerambycinae subfamily as Hylotrupes bajulus (Linnaeus, 1758), Phoracantha recurva Newman, 1840, Phoracantha semipunctata (Fabricius, 1775), Plagionotus detritus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Xylotrechus antilope (Schönherr, 1817); 7 of 21 species belonging to Lamiinae subfamily as Acanthocinus aedilis (Linnaeus, 1758), Acanthocinus griseus (Fabricius, 1793), Exocentrus adspersus Mulsant, 1846, Leiopus femoratus Fairmaire, 1859, Oberea linearis (Linnaeus, 1760), Pogonocherus hispidus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Saperda carcharias (Linnaeus, 1758); 4 of 21 species belonging to Lepturinae subfamily as Rhagium inquisitor (Linnaeus, 1758), Rhamnusium bicolor (Schrank, 1781), Stenurella melanura (Linnaeus, 1758) and Stictoleptura rubra (Linnaeus, 1758); 1 of 21 species belonging to Prioninae subfamily as Prionus coriarius (Linnaeus, 1758) and 1 of 21 species belonging to Spondylidinae subfamily as Spondylis buprestoides (Linnaeus, 1758).
