The members of tribe Obriini Mulsant (Cerambycidae: Cerambycinae) in Turkey with their distribution and host plants

Abstract : The paper presents distributions in Turkey of the members of Obriini tribe with their host plants. As a result, only 3 species of two genera were determined and evaluated with their distributions in Turkey and their all host plants for Turkish Obriini. In terms of range of provincial and modern regional distribution in Turkey, O. brunneum with 12 provinces and 4 regions is strikingly prevailing. O. cantharinum cantharinum with 6 provinces and 4 regions and A. eggeri with 2 provinces an done region follow it. Similarly, in terms of number of recorded classical regions in Turkey, O. brunneum with 6 concepts is strikingly prevailing. O. Cantharinum cantharinum with 5 concepts and A. eggeri with 2 concepts follow it. Moreover, the distribution range of 2 of 3 species in Turkey is expanded by determining new provincial records for them. Thus, O. brunneum is recorded for the first time from Antalya province, while O. cantharinum cantharinum is recorded for the first time from Kastamonu province. With the present study, host plants of all species are determined. Apparently, O. brunneum seems polyphagous in coniferous trees, while O. cantharinum cantharinum seems polyphagous in deciduous trees and A. eggeri seems monophagous in deciduous trees (Quercus spp.) now. In addition, Fagaceae (Quercus cerris) for A. eggeri, Pinaceae (Cedrus libani) for O. brunneum and Rosaceae (Crataegus monogyna) for O. cantharinum cantharinum are the first detection as host plants of these species. Finally, Turkish Obriini has only one endemic species as A. eggeri. Thus, the endemism ratio of Turkish Obriini is 33.33%.
