The first record and redescription of Gasteracantha hasselti C. L. Koch, 1837 (Araneae: Araneidae) from Pakistan

Abstract :

The species Gasteracantha hasselti C. L. Koch, 1837 (Araneae: Araneidae) is redescribed as a new record from Pakistan. The specimens were collected from four different localities of Kasur district, Punjab, Pakistan during the project of exploring the spider fauna of agricultural crops. No previous record of this species exists in world spider catalogue till July, 2020 from Pakistan.
