Studies on the diet analysis of Acanthodactylus boskianus (Daudin, 1802) (Squamata: Lacertidae) in Türkiye
Abstract : It is known that Acanthodactylus (Lacertidae) species feed on insects, but very few studies on the diet of these species have been conducted. In this study, the diet of Acanthodactylus boskianus (Daudin, 1802) in Birecik (Şanlıurfa, Türkiye) was studied. In total, 127 specimens belonging to four order of Insecta (Hexapoda) have been recorded in the stomach contents of 21 specimens of A. boskianus in the study area. The diet of this species was composed of the Hymenoptera, mainly ants, with a percentage of 48 %, Coleoptera with 41 %, Ortoptera with 7 %, Diptera with 2, 4% and Dermaptera with 1.6 % respectively.
