Abstract : Masturbation is well studied for human but for non-human primates, it is not well explored. Masturbation is self-stimulating behavioural process of one’s own genitalia. We have observed masturbation in common grey langur near Girnar forest during the behavioural study of common langur. Semnopithecus entellus are commonly found throughout Gujarat and India. We have observed masturbation in three different male langurs. Data was collected using ad libitum sampling method. Three occurrences of masturbation have been observed during study of common grey langur at different interludes. Behaviour was photographed and the post activity was also observed. Further detailed studies are needed to spread light on such taboo topic.
