New data on the leaf miner species Trachys phlyctaenoides Kolenati, 1846 (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) from Turkey with a new host plant and a new larval parasitoid
Abstract :The paper presents new data on the leaf miner jewel beetle species Trachys phlyctaenoides Kolenati from Turkey (Diyarbakır province). The larvae of this species were collected on the host Alcea rosea L. (Malvaceae). The host plant is unknown for this species. Therefore, this host plant species and family are the first records for this species. So, it is clearly saying that the species is an oligophagous buprestid species. In addition, a larval parasitoid Pnigalio sp. (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) is reported for the first time. Moreover, the species is recorded from Diyarbakır province for the first time.
