New and additional records of the staphylinid beetles from Pakistan collected by Guido Sabatinelli with check-list of staphylinids of Pakistan (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae)

Abstract :

The staphylid beetles (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) in the vicinity of Islamabad was studied using light and pitfall trapping in 2011. 22 additional species new for the Pakistan fauna have been discovered. 39 species known from original description are mentioned only. The checklist of staphylinid beetles of Pakistan is attached. The fauna of staphylinids includes now 375 species records.
