Members of the subfamily Apatophyseinae Lacordaire (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) in Turkey with updated provincial and regional distribution records
Abstract : The paper is presented all taxa of Turkish Apatophyseinae Lacordaire with detailed data. Apatophysis anatolica mucurense (Özdikmen & Tezcan) rest. nov. is regarded as a new subspecies of the species Apatophysis anatolica Heyrovský. Also, Apatophysis capsica Semenov is newly added to the Turkish catalogue of Özdikmen (2021a). Accordingly, it is determined Turkish Apatophyseinae comprise of six species-group taxa belonging to one genus of one tribe. Among them, four species-group taxa were originally described from Turkey, and they are still endemics to Turkey as Apatophysis anatolica anatolica Heyrovský, Apatophysis anatolica mucurense (Özdikmen & Tezcan), Apatophysis kadleci Danilevsky, and Apatophysis karsica Danilevsky. Thus, the endemism ratio of Turkish Apatophyseinae is high with 66.66 percent. All species-group taxa of the genus Apatophysis in Turkey are narrowly distributed and so little-known. According to the present study, host plants of only two species are known as Apatophysis caspica Semenov [Chenopodiaceae (Kalidium sp., Salsola sp., Suaeda sp.), Ephedraceae (Ephedra sp.), Plumbaginaceae (Limoniastrum sp.), Polygonaceae (Calligonum sp.), Rosaceae (Armeniaca sp.), and Zygophyllaceae (Zygophyllum sp.)], and Apatophysis vedica Danilevsky [Chenopodiaceae (Salsola sp.)]. On the contrary, host plants of the remaining four species-group taxa of Turkish Apatophyseinae are still unknown.
