First biological data on Cleonini weevil Conorhynchus lacerta Chevrolat, 1873 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) from Tuzluca – Iğdır territory
Abstract :Adults of C. lacerta feed on succulent leaves of Seidlitzia florida (M. Bieb.) Boiss. (Amaranthaceae), females attached eggs on the root of rosette plant making a soil case. The larvae develop in muddy soil cases feeding on roots of the host plant and pupate in the same place. The species produces one generation a year in Tuzluca – Iğdır territory, Turkey.
