Eriophyoid mites (Acari: Eriophyoidea) on weed plants in vegetable growing areas in Van Lake Basin Region of Turkey
Abstract : The main goal of this study is to determine Eriophyoid (Acarina: Eriophyidae) mite fauna on weeds plants in vegetable growing areas of Van Lake Basin of Turkey during 2018–2020 years. The identified eriophyoid mites collected on different weed plants mainly from; Agropyron repens L. (Poaceae), Amaranthus sp. (Amarantaceae), Bromus sp. (Poaceae), Centaurea depressa Bieb. (Asteraceae), Cirsium arvense L. (Asteraceae), Crupina sp. L. (Asteraceae), Euphorbia sp. (Euphorbiaceae), Salvia sp. L (Lamiaceae) and Trigonella sp. (Fabaceae). The identified species; Abacarus hystrix (Nalepa, 1896), Abacarus longilobus (Skorocka, 2002), Aceria acroptiloni (Shevtchenko and Kuvalev, 1974), Aceria amaranthi (Abou–Awad & El– Banhawy, 1992), Aceria anthocoptes (Nalepa,1892), Aceria balasi (Farkas, 1960), Aceria salviae (Nalepa, 1891), Aceria tinctoriae (Denizhan et al., 2006), Aceria tosichella (Keifer, 1969), Aculops montenegrinus (Petanovic and De Lillo, 1992), Anthocoptes aspidophorus (Nalepa, 1893) and Eriophyes euphorbiae (Nalepa, 1891).
