Abstract : One of the oldest surviving insect species is the grasshopper on the earth, with the earliest fossils going back 250 million years. These insects are members of the Order Orthoptera and Suborder Caelifera. Grasshoppers are mostly herbivorous insects that prefer to eat grasses but found in other agricultural fields such as paddy, wheat, sorghum, sugarcane etc. The genus Acrida is cosmopolitan as reported from various states of the India. The collection was done from Karnal district of Haryana, India. In this present study a new species of Genus Acrida is discussed with its all morphological and genitalic characters in details including showed taxonomic comparison with already existing species of Acrida exaltata which is quite different in morphological characters from new species i.e Acrida undulata sp. nov.
