Auchenorrhyncha (Homoptera) data from Ankara with two new records to Turkey

Abstract :

In this study, the Auchenorryncha specimens collected from various localities in Ankara in 1997–2000 are examined. 60 species belonging to 10 families are found to be distributed in the region. Among these, 4 species belong to Cixidae, 4 species to Delphacidae, 1 species to Meenoplidae, 5 species to Tettigometridae, 1 species to Caliscelidae, 5 species to Issidae, 1 species to Flatidae, 3 species to Cicadidae, 6 species to Cercopidae and 30 species to Cicadellidae. Distribution in Turkey of these species are given along with their locality records. 3 of these examined species are new records for Ankara and two of them, Tettigometra (s. str.) atra Hagenbach, 1825 and Tettigometra (s. str.) impressopunctata Dufour, 1846 are new records for Turkish fauna.
