A nomenclatural act: Replacement names for two homonymous caddisfly generic names (Trichoptera)

Abstract :

Two junior homonyms were detected amongst the Trichopteran generic names and the following replacement names are proposed: Navasus nom. nov. for Pielus Navas, 1935 and Kelleyella nom. nov. for Oxethira (Mesotrichia) Kelley, 1984. Accordingly, new combinations are herein proposed for the species currently included in these taxa: Navasus spinulosus (Navas, 1935) comb. nov. from Pielus Navas, 1935 and Oxyethira (Kelleyella) jamaicensis (Flint, 1968) comb. nov. from Oxyethira (Mesotrichia) Kelley, 1984.
