A new barley pest in northern Cyprus: Bryobia praetiosa Koch

Abstract : Bryobia praetiosa Koch, 1836 (Prostigmata: Tetranychidae) has been identified as feeding on the leaves of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) during the early stage (between emergence and heading) in Türkmenköy, Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus. This pest has been recorded for the first time as a pest of barley during its early stage in Northern Cyprus.
