A naked list of longhorned beetles preferring Quercus species as host plant in Turkey (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae)
Abstract :Oak represents with 18 species in Turkey. As the distribution area in forests, Oak species (Quercus spp.) with 5.886.195 hectares are the most common trees or shrubs in whole forest area in Turkey (22,342,935 hectares). Detection of cerambycids in oak trees is of economic importance in terms of production losses, environmental disasters, and management costs. Accordingly, all taxa of Turkish longhorned beetles preferring oak species as host plant are reviewed and given a total of 196 longhorned beetle species and 10 possible species into a naked list. Turkish longhorned beetles are represented with 7 species + 1 possible species of the subfamily Prioninae, 52 species + 2 possible species of the subfamily Lepturinae, 2 species of the subfamily Necydalinae, 2 species + 1 possible species of the subfamily Saphaninae, 1 species of the subfamily Spondylidinae, 93 species + 4 possible species of the subfamily Cerambycinae, 8 species + 2 possible species of the subfamily Stenopterinae and 31 species of the subfamily Lamiinae in the present list.
