A faunistic study on the diving beetles (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) of Markazi province (Central Iran) with the new records

Abstract :

In this study, 33 diving beetle species belonging to 18 genera, collected from the Markazi province in the central part of Iran, between 2001–2005 have been established faunistically. Seven species and two genera are recorded from Iran for the first time. The ecological significance of the new records is briefly discussed.
